Community Involvement and Contribution

Meriton understands the importance of community and has put in many hours of work and millions of dollars to ensure important organisations are given the financial support they need.

The list of organisations is extensive; covering health, education, sports, safety, local communities and the arts.

Some of the organisations and charities that Meriton supports include:

• The NSW and Queensland Police forces. Meriton makes significant donations, sponsoring community appeals and events.
• Griffith University, Queensland. Meriton provides funding to the University to support and promote tertiary education.
• The Queensland Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal.
• Meriton Sydney Invitational Annual Golf Tournament. Founded by Meriton, the tournament raises money for Westmead Children’s Hospital. Meriton continues to be the major sponsor.
• The Bowel Cancer Foundation. Meriton provides an annual donation to help fund research.
• Hakoah Sydney City East Football Club . Meriton is a platinum sponsor of the team
• Our Big Kitchen. A community outreach program based in Sydney, established to help those in need.
