Meriton Brings New Parklands and Public Facilities to Lewisham in 2016
15 March 2016
LUNA, the latest luxury Meriton development located in Sydney’s inner west, has launched the final stage for sale, due for completion in late 2016. Set amongst lush parklands and soaring ten storeys high, LUNA’s two tallest towers feature panoramic city and parkland views never to be built out. This project raises the benchmark for residential parkside living, just seven kilometres from the CBD and a few minutes’ walk from the light rail and train station.
Located in the burgeoning suburb of Lewisham, LUNA encompasses 298 luxurious residential apartments by award winning architects PTW. Recently unveiling the first of seven buildings, this new development features stylish facades, each mirrored by equally glamorous interiors with dual aspect floorplan layouts, alfresco winter gardens and open terraces.
Unlike other developments in the area, LUNA offers its residents a sense of community by providing 3400sqm of brand new public parklands including a children’s playground as well as an indoor recreational complex with heated pool, sauna, gym and on-site café.
LUNA will bring a new social centre for public use, which will be managed by the council, as well as brand new footpaths leading directly to the light rail and well-lit street lights to make the light rail path safer to access. Also as part of the development, Meriton has invested $4.5 million dollars to significantly improve the health of the local storm water system to mitigate the pre-development issue of flooding on the neighbouring properties and Old Canterbury Road. Further upgrades have been made to widen the surrounding streets and create new on-street parking which will improve both the aesthetics and public access around the park.
The inner west has seen impressive growth over the years with its close proximity to the CBD and there is no sign of it slowing down with the recent inclusion of LUNA, Lewisham. This year, LUNA has been a best seller for Meriton with continued interest from an eager local market. To date, over 50 per cent of these luxurious apartments have been sold, with the first occupation date for buyers confirmed for May this year.
“There has been a strong response in sales from both local and overseas buyers as Meriton continues to meet market needs with its expertise, superb quality and 100 per cent completion rate,” says Meriton Sales Director James Sialepis.
“Investors are flocking to the area with the light rail only 50 meters away, offering regular services from Central Station through Darling Harbour to Dulwich Hill. The Sydney CBD is an easy commute, only seven kilometres from your doorstep. Buyers can be confident that they have secured a position in a well-connected, desirable inner west locale moments from major shopping centres, top schools, universities and café districts.”
Meriton confidently remains a market leader showcasing elegant fittings, contemporary living spaces, new multi-media capabilities, sleek gourmet kitchens, luxurious bathrooms with a freestanding bath, and spacious bedrooms with mirrored built-in wardrobes.
