New York-Style Apartments For Sydney’s Waterloo

5 September 2014

Meriton has launched its ‘Tribeca’ development on McEvoy Street, Waterloo, designed by award-winning Tony Caro Architecture.

The latest word in chic city apartment living, the development combines urban modernity with the elegance for which Tony Caro is renowned, featuring 233 apartments across three low-rise buildings with full-height windows and distinctive Vshaped foundations.

Inspired by the heritage warehouses of old Waterloo, Tony Caro Architecture drew on the area’s history to create a unique design featuring suspended bridges to evoke visual richness.

Tribeca is the translation of the traditional ‘saw-toothed’ warehouse into a contemporary residential building, said TCA principal Tony Caro.

It echoes the roof lines of Sydney’s industrial past.

Just 139 apartments are left to purchase after a successful soft launch.

A rooftop garden overlooking the swimming pool and surrounding landscaped gardens will bring residents the best of outdoor Australian living, while a convenient onsite childcare centre is set to address the shortage of places in Sydney’s inner west. Tribeca’s recreational facilities include a heated indoor pool, gymnasium, spa and sauna, with a café on the grounds.

All ‘Tribeca’ apartments feature built-in wardrobes, gourmet kitchens with European appliances, split-system integrated air conditioning and a media room or full-sized study.
