Soleil Wins Best Residential Development In Australia
19 May 2014
Meriton’s 74-storey …Soleil‘ tower in Queensland, designed by DBI architects, has been awarded the gong for …Best Residential Development’ by the Property Council of Australia out of seven finalists across the nation.
Meriton Group embraced unconventional design and construction techniques to create the most slender building in the Southern hemisphere, said the Property Council in a press statement, following a gala awards ceremony at Sydney’s The Star on Saturday night. The accolade is one of the nation’s top honours, reflecting Soleil’s symbolic role in transforming the Brisbane city skyline. It is the third time the landmark building has been recognised by industry, having taken out the prize for Best Residential Development at both the 2013 International Property Awards and the 2013 Urban Taskforce Development Excellence Awards.
Offering a mix of high-rise residential accommodation and serviced apartments, with five-star facilities including a lap pool, gymnasium, sauna and spa, …Soleil’ is a truly spectacular addition to the Brisbane CBD. The building was Meriton’s first foray into the Queensland capital and, upon completion, briefly became the tallest residential tower in Brisbane – to be eclipsed only by its sister building, …Infinity’, also by Meriton, which was awarded the International Property Award for Best Residential High-Rise Development in May 2014.
